The Civil Engineering Study Program Holds a Guest Lecture with Practitioners from PT Hilti Indonesia
The Civil Engineering Study Program regularly organizes guest lectures by industry practitioners. This time, the event featured Mr. Dana Lutfi Ilmansyah, ST, MSc, who serves as the Codes and Approval Manager at PT Hilti Indonesia. The guest lecture, held on Monday, October 7, 2024, covered the topic of Post-Installed Anchor Technology. Anchors are essentially pieces of metal designed to transfer loads from structural or non-structural elements to a base medium such as concrete, brick, and other materials. The use of anchors in construction requires technical analysis and careful consideration from the planning engineers.
This guest lecture was part of the Structural Concrete Design course, a mandatory subject in the Civil Engineering Study Program.
"Through these practitioner-led lectures, we hope that students will gain insight into the technologies they will encounter in the field," said Agustinus Agus Setiawan, the lecturer responsible for the Structural Concrete Design course.
Lectures by industry practitioners are one of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Higher Education Institutions, particularly KPI 4.
